Replacing Aluminum Fuel Tank

I'm getting ready to have a new aluminum diesel tank built based on the original Ericson fabrication drawing. Unfortunately, the drawing covers only the tank and says nothing about plumbing fittings or flanges for pick-up/return tubes or cleanout covers. I know enough to avoid brass and copper, looking for nylon but no luck yet. Anyone had experience with custom tanks?

See if you can't go with plastic

See if you can't go with a plastic tank. Contrary to rumors, they are USCG approved, and actually last longer than most AL tanks that I have seen. This is due to a lot less issues with incompatible metals and poultice corrosion.
