Re-bedding Hatch Cover Hinges

I want to re-bed the hatch cover hinges on my 1978 Ericson 29, but cannot access the retaining bolt ends due to the interior liner. Does anyone know how these bolts are connected below the deck? Are they likely to drop down into the void with the liner if I un-bolt them or are they fixed in place?

If you have the standard Perko hatch hinges, they should be
fastened with regular old wood screws to the deck, not thru-
bolted.
