Prop shaft question

1971 E-35-2 A. 4 power Hull# 179 Was diving on boat other day to clean bottom and noticed thread on prop shaft is badly corroded. I live a few blocks from Minnie's so started looking at selection of 3/4 shafts in stock. Does anyone know approx. length of shaft? Have access to machine shop to cut shaft, just don't want to get " short shafted" any info. Greatly appreciated.

The one that came out of my 1973 35-2 no 280 with the mid engine is 45", but I dont think you can beat having the old one as a pattern before picking up the hack saw!
