Ophelia Arrives

The "almost" tropical storm Ophelia turned into an "almost" hurricane in a matter of 6 hours. The eye passed 20 miles south of the sailing club this morning and brought us 65 mph guest and sustained 45 mph winds. Overnight the storm surge pushed water over the seawall and we evacuated ourselves from the boats to the clubhouse and moved vehicles to higher ground.

The little stubs on the attached pictures are submerged boat ramp finger pier, All is well now.

Went to the boat yesterday and stripped sails and checked over and adjusted dock lines and fenders. Waiting to hear from my slip neighbor who lives near our boats to see how things are doing out there. At the house it's been gusty and wet.
