MARTEC Feathering Prop

When I called Martec to ask about the stiffness in my prop, they told me that my complaint was similar to others from cold water areas, and that the white grease with the lower viscosity was the solution. Then, when the boat was hauled and the prop shipped off the Martec, the yard mgr told me that this was the current advice for Max Props, as well. Similar issue. This yard is an OEM dealer for both Martec and Max.

Further, I was told that in the future I would need to buy the white grease from an auto parts store in a tub, and hand load the cartridge for greasing my prop; and that this was the yard had been doing for both brands of feathering props for the last year or so.
(Since the Martec has a zerk fitting, a friend of mine has been diving and greasing the prop in mid-season, using a standard small grease gun.)
The grease is not much of an expense, in either case...

Anyone want a spare cartridge of green waterproof grease?
:)
