Main Sheet routing/clamp

Hey Folks, when I bought this shipwreck of an Ericson I didn't realize it was missing (forgive me for my lack of correct terminology, I'm a solo sailer, no sailing friends. Sigh.) the 'cleat/clam-shell' that my other, smaller boats had for securing the main sheet. All I have are the winches for the jib. This makes sailing - especially in gusty, windy days - tiresome (I have to hold the mainsheet or route it around a docking cleat).

Any suggestions on hardware to buy (not looking for the best, just what will do the job) and where to place it? Below is a picture of the cockpit. Excuse the grime, the boat sits near a wall of pine trees and is always coated with bark, needles etc.

Thanks in advance!

One popular choice for that application is a fiddle block with ratchet cams. Some have a spring base so they'll stand up, although I don;t know if that will work with your particular car. (The cam assembly can usually be adjusted to desired angle, or turned upsidedown).
