Here is a 12V Fuel Pump SetUp that allows you to Fill Filter and Purge on
filter change, Purge Air from hoses at engine, Transfer Fuel and use your
Fuel Pump in an Emergency for Mechanical Fuel Pump failure.
The Beta BD 902 has a Mechanical Fuel Pump and a Dockmate suggested
using the old 12V Pump from the Universal M4-30 as a Purge and Emergency
Pump :D .....works great !

Happy Fueling :egrin:

I have a set up similar to this on my boat. Mine is permanently mounted and set up so that I can use it three ways.
1. As a booster pump for my mechanical pump if needed. Both pumps are a flow through bellows types and can operate independently or in tandem.
2. To purge the fuel line after a filter change.
3. To polish the fuel.

Note to preclude the possibility filling the bilge with fuel in the event of a fuel line failure I replaced the OEM oil pressure sending unit with one having both Normally Open and Normally Closed contacts. The normally open contact goes to the alarm/idiot light on the engine panel and the normally closed contact goes to the pump via a DPDT switch that way with the DPDT switch in the run position the pump can only run when there is oil pressure.
