Just had the boat hauled (1986 E-28), and noticed that there is play in the shaft strut at the hull. From some research looking at the owner's manual it looks like this is not bolted on, but glassed in from the interior of the hull. The complication is that it is under the fuel tank.
I think that I am going to have to remove the fuel tank to get to it, which will be a pain, since I filled it up before hauling. So, I will have to pump it out, and go from there.
Has anyone had a similar experience with a loose strut?
