Line Clutch Array

Moor'ea

Savage Sailor
Just finished putting in the last two of the line clutches. Goal for this setup is maximum singlehandability. I don't want to have to rely on others to go enjoy an afternoon in the bay, so I want everything to be readily accessible. That meant that there would have to be six clutches on either side of the companionway. wow. well, I went for it. for each of the **cough** 24 holes that required in the cabin top I bored out a 5/8" hole, then filled it with west system slow cure epoxy fortified with 404 high density filler. Then I drilled the 1/4" fastener holes through the epoxy slug, adding a little counter-sink at the surface for a sealant gasket. Tape off the clutch footprint, apply bedding compound, tighten fasteners, done deal.
