Inboard vs Outboard Racor filter

Folks,
I was changing my water separation filter and just noticed that the Racor filter installed is rated "outboard only" B32013 with S3213 10 micron spin on.
Should I be concerned and run to get inboard version, or it only a matter of marketing?

Per some vendor info I found, it's intended for gasoline only. I have no idea if diesel fuel is bad for it. Try contacting Racor directly with your question.
