Great Sail in Long Beach Today

The Admiral has given me the "all clear" to solo. Had an awesome time on my second solo trip around the Long Beach Basin. Didn't have to worry about my crew freaking out! I thought there was a decent amount of traffic including some catamarans racing. I am pretty sure I entered their race area, but gave way once I figured that out!!!

Tom, I will email you the two pictures (below) of your boat. The other two are of another Ericson (Hull No. 7?) that I couldn't get a close enough shot after the challenge going below to get my camera and taking the shots while underway. I am pretty sure it wasn't you. I believe he was also solo.

It was great to run into you yesterday Todd - thanks for the pictures.

Wind was great - I bet she was flying Todd.

(folks - please don't notice how I have the sails trimmed :nerd:)

Yeah, peaked at just over 7 knots on a broad reach (according to my gps), but steady at just under 6.5 knots. It was great to be able to just take the boat out and "play" with her to figure her out.

Thats ok, you were in the jettys in the marina!
