They've Arrived!
I ultimately went with FX sails and they arrived yesterday. I still need to run them up the flagpole and see how they fit, but I ran a tape measure on them and they are exactly what I specified. Last night, the living room of the Swann household looked like a cross between Christmas morning and a sail loft!
The sails were delivered with chafe patches, labeled sail bags for each, stripes, race numbers, Ericson logo, telltales installed, metal headboard; upgraded slides, nicely done stitching (and trimmed), glued stitching, - basically all the goodies I was instructed to want.
Bill James, of FX was a joy to work with, was always prompt replying, delivered on every promise, and it appears from my limited knowledge, FX has delivered a nice bunch of new sails. (Battened, 2 reef main, working jib, 130 tri, & storm.)
I'll post on the site when I get them up in the air.
