E29 forward Hatch
Hi - I recently replaced the forward hatch on my E29 Hull 190. I couldn't find anything as a direct replacement, so I built one. It was a very simple process. I built a frame out of Teak, essentially glueing and screwing a box, I used gorilla glue, which has good waterproof capabilities and grips well on teak. I purchased a pane of 3/8 inch smoked acrylic and had it cut to fit the box. Sealed it to the box with silicon and attached with stainless flat head screws. Reattached mounting hardware and attached to the boat.
The entire process took about 2 hours labor. Spread over about 10 days for the varnish process.
