Fiberglass Protection

Fiberglass Cloth/Resin repair work on Wood in the Cockpit. The Wood looks great and would like to have a Clear Finish instead of Paint. What is the success of Satin Polyurethane Varnish on Raw Clear Fiberglass
Will this work for intermittant underwater use of Rudder and Centerboard on the other Mini Sailboat Flotilla ?

Use a gloss poly/varnish with UV protection to build thickness and then apply the last coat as satin. Satin has pigments that can cloud the finish and will accumulate in successive coats.

I see no problem using intermittently in water.

Resin on Wood

Thank you Tim. What is up with the Weird little streaks I am getting when I apply Epoxy Resin directly to Hardwood Mahogany? I am sanded down to 220and Tacked Off with Acetone
