I've searched around and haven't had any luck finding other discussions on this subject. The toggles on m E25 are 3 1/2 inches long and 1/8 inch thick. For some reason or another they have 5/16 inch pins. The tangs for the shrouds, on the other hand, have 3/8 inch pins.
At any rate, like many things on this boat (the over-sized spreaders being one example), the folks at Ericson went the heavy duty route. This is okay by me, but now that I'm replacing my rigging, I'm wondering if anyone has toggles similar in appearance and size, and if anyone has replaced them at the time they went through the re-rigging process. I'd prefer to hang on to these bad boys, especially since they appear to be in good condition and all the other toggles I've seen on the market are about half the size. Then again, they are about 37 years old. Then again, I haven't found any discussions out there about masthead toggle failure.
Thanks,
Roscoe
