Ericson 38 keel

Hi everyone,
I am new to this site as I am looking at getting hold of an Ericson 38, a lot of the boats I have looked at (on line) have the shallow keel and I would like a deep keel one. My question is; is it possible to replace a current shallow draft keel with an Ericson deep fin keel?

Hi Allen, welcome to the forum.

It's possible but not practical. You'd have to have a deep Ericson keel lying around, no? There are keel modifications, such as Mars. Money will accomplish anything, of course.
