Ericson 38 fuel gauge location

Can anyone tell me where the fuel gauge is located for an Ericson 38-200 (or if it is an "option" that may or may not be present)?

I have an 89 E-38-200 with a Universal Diesel. I've located the fuel tank, but can't seem to locate the gauge.

I too have a 1989 38-200.

Go to the aft cabin and lift up the cushion. Near the centerline, forward, you should find an access panel under the bunk. Inside you should find one corner of the 54 gallon fuel tank with the fuel gauge mounted right on top.

Is yours different?

Interesting that the factory also put a mechanical dial guage on the top of my diesel tank on my '88 Olson 34.
While I do have to lift up a cushion to read it, there are no electrics to fail...
All in all, I rather like it this way.

fuel gauge location

Our 1988 38-200 fuel gauge location is inside the starboard cockpit locker built into the cover of the engine instrument cluster.
