E35-2 storm jib sheeting

Just before selling the boat to me, PO bought a storm jib and installed a removable inner stay for it. What he didn't do was figure out a proper sheeting arrangement. Going upwind with storm jib and heavily reefed main, the jib sheeted through a block anywhere on the rail doesn't fill anywhere less than ~45 degrees apparent. My other headsail is a 135% genoa on a furler, so I actually set the storm jib up any time it blows more than 20 knots.

Is this sheeting angle story a problem that can be / should be solved?

Sounds right. Small jibs often mean a new sheeting point has to be added.

If the jib isn't on a furler, a padeye on each side would work fine.

A dedicated track is another option if you want to change sheeting angles on the sail.
