E28+ keel

I have a 1983 E28+ and would like to know if I need to be concerned with the integrity of the keel. Does the keel contain lead or iron and is it attached with keel bolts or molded into the hull? If keel bolts are used do I need to inspect/replace them and how do I do that? Everything appears normal on the outside of the boat where the keel meets the hull - no cracks or anything. I just ran across an article on the Sailnet web site that talks about inspecting and replacing keel bolts in older boat and it got me thinking about my own boat.

Your keel is bolted to a shallow fillet which is part of the structural grid. The bolts go through a pan-like structure that spreads the loads all over the boat. It is very tough and unless you had a very hard grounding this should not be an issue-ever.
Enjoy!
