Hi all,
I recently purchased a 1970 E-29. After bottom painting, adding radar and numerous other repairs the boat is in the water and i am ready to fully enjoy her. As i was doing a thorough cleaning yesterday i noticed about 1/2 cup of water in the port settee right next to the stove and drawers. I sponged it up and went back today and there was probably 1/4 cup. We have not had rain the last few days. There is no water building up in the bilge and i went down under the port seat in the cockpit and can see no water there. I can not get to the area under the stove and sink. When the bottom was sanded and painted nothing was noticed. I am wondering what the next step might be. looking at the pic you can see that this looks like it has been going on for a while because the paint has come off there. I am wondering the wisdom of getting it dry and epoxying over it. from the inside. I have a epoxy through work that will bond even if wet and i could mostly dry this out and then seal it with epoxy. I am new at this and am seeking all your wisdom here. Thanks, doug in sequim
