Disturbing GPS interference report

There is a report out that claims "Data Shows Disastrous GPS Jamming from FCC-Approved Broadcaster"

It might seem like some consolation that a typical GPS is only disabled within a mile or so and degraded beyond that distance, but then you see that there are going top be 40,000 of these transmitters !!


What the heck were they thinking :hoppingmad::headb:

Near the bottom of the page under "What the Industry Experts are Saying" they mention stimulus $$$, etc. No wonder the FCC was so quick to approve their plan.

Wonderful...

I've experienced firsthand the dramatic effects of GPS jamming flying military jets....it could conceivably ruin your whole day.

Not to mention the fact the entire commercial aviation fleet is moving toward GPS-reliant instrument approaches. I hope the FCC and the FAA have a little more of a chat before letting this company move forward with their plan.
