Hey friends,
I have a 1978 Ericson 27' that I put on the hard this year. After taking a look at the bottom I noticed some discoloration around the drive shaft on the exterior of the boat. I examined the inside and it' pretty dirty where the drive exits the engine and goes through the hull but it wasn't wet or anything. I also found an empty bottle of oil in that area too - this is my first season with the boat so it may be possible the P.O. dumped a quart of oil back there and it seeped through... Take a look at the photos, and if anybody has any thoughts on this I'd love to hear. I'm just not sure if this is something I should be worried about.
