Decked turned green

I pulled the winches off our boat yesterday. The deck is white - sort of and the spots under the winches were light green in color. Is that from the bronze gassing out over the years, grease something else?

Just a hunch

A 00.02 cent opinion, perhaps that is the original deck color, the rest has bleached and oxidized.
