Cutless bearing removal

i'm thinking back 10 years; to my old universal when i removed the shaft; pita fer sure. But i seem to remember a little set screw in the collar; that, when i finally saw it, i had a eureka moment; does yours have a set screw?

Sorry I neglected to respond to you. Yes, mine has a set screw. That is of the utmost importance because without it, the propshaft could slide out when backing up and you could sink. It holds the shaft firmly to the coupling. Don't leave home without it!

I had removed my set screw but still a PITA to get the coupling out!
