I will be taking out my brother in law and his girlfriend tomorrow around noon. Probably just cruising around the islands in Long Beach.
But first I am going to have them haul me up the mast in the morning. Attempted to change the mast head light and masthead fly last friday on my maiden voyage up the mast. As you would expect, the screw was siezed on the masthead light and the little old masthead fly was not a universal switch for my new 12" Davis Windex. So I scrapped the mission and went sailing.
Hope I have better luck this time. And yes, I will be using both the main halyard as the primary and the jib halyard as the secondary (safety). I've read enough threads on this website to take that advice. Also planning on taking up my camera this time.
