It might have been an option. Our 27 did not have a sink in the head. There was a bulkhead that ran front to back that provided storage from above. I added a sink, vanity top and cut in some doors in the bulkhead. The hardest part for me was deciding where to drain the sink. I had read that some head sinks used the through hull for the head raw water supply (flushing water) as the drain. It didn't seem like a good idea but in practice it works fine. No extra through hulls involved.
