October in Chicago signals the end of the boating season and 6000 plus moorings in the municipal harbors need to be vacated by November 1.
Some of the boat yards are on the Chicago River and require transiting the Chicago lock and multiple bridges thru the city.
This week I got to put my captains license to work and delivered a 36C from Burnam Harbor to Canal St. Marina. A fun trip on a beautiful autumn day. Total of 6 hours and 25 bridges.
