Broken Strut

A few year back the cutlass baring strut broke off at the hull of my E28.5. The yard made a replacement from SS and bolted it to the hull. It seams to work fine and maybe a better material than the original bronze or brass strut. Did not take a foto of the new strut. While I am mentioning this, curious if anyone else had this misfortune? BTW I motored a good 10 NM after the break with little vibration or problems. Did not know it happened till my diver informed me but I initially knew something happened when I heard the first CLUNK.

Wow..Just goes to show how good this Ericson sight is...did not know all this past stuff on broken struts would come up...Good job Sean...guess I should send you some "bread" man...
