When I broke the gooseneck on my E27 last season I found an entire boom in the back room at Bacon's in Annapolis. Odds are it is still there.

I am also in SF Bay area, with a 1973 E27.
Had Svendsen's build a new boom last year for about $1,400.
I would recommend trying Hansen's rigging in Alameda, or Ballenger Spars in Santa Cruz.
