bilge pump fuse

putting an automatic bilge pump in my cockpit for the winter (so I can keep scupper seacocks closed).
I have a small Rule laying around. 12v 3amp.

Simple (I hope) questions. Does anyone know the recommended amp rating for fuse -- in-line tube-style quick-blow 16awg leads.

Your pump needs 3A, I would use a 5A fuse.

Per the Blue Seas chart here:

A 16 gauge, 105 degree rated wire could take up to 25 amps, typically 15, so you are well under the max amps rating for the wire, fusing at 5 amps.
