Bedding compounds for the keel

Sika, along with 3M, makes marine adhesives. Both have good products.
For a keel, I would go with whatever is equal to 3M 5200.

My understanding is that the Sikaflex 291 is like the 3M 4200 and the Sikaflex 292 is like the 3M 5200. Assuming that you want higher adhesion for the keel joint, you would use Sikaflex 292, not 291. My keel was re-bedded before I bought our boat, but the records show that the boatyard used 3M 5200. Now I just hope I never have to drop the keel again for any reason! :0305_frow

Sikaflex 291 LOT is the "Long Open Time", hence LOT, version of Sikaflex 291. 291 cures faster than 291 LOT..
