Beautiful SoCal day...

Great afternoon of sailing Wednesday afternoon. We got a few miles outside of the lighthouse off San Pedro and just played in the 15+ knots of breeze and 8 ft. rollers.

It was my first time really getting this boat out in the open water and seeing what she could do. What a blast and a pure pleasure to sail!!

On our way back in to Wilmington we passed a pretty E29 in the mouth of the ship channel. Was that anybody here? It was fun to see good, hearty viking-style waving once we both realized we were Ericsons!:egrin:

Anyone else get out to enjoy the day?

Welcome to Hurricane Gulch Shaggy.

I wasn't out last Wednesday but I was out Saturday. Had a nice on shore breeze (10-12 knots) and it made a easy sail up to Pt. Vicente. Of course the wind was piped up once rounded Angle's Gate Lighthouse and came back into the Gulch around 4:30 pm. It was hitting 18 knots. Pretty much normal afternoon conditions.

Hope to see you at Catalina some day.
