I want to bld a new battery box for my E-29. It has a FG box now aft of the engine. Its small. I like to run 2 house and 1 start. I placed a 27 in the starboard locker but it should be vented etc. I remember someone sending me E29 pics, when I was dealing with the stuffing box on my E27. Any pics out there? Thanks for your time Rod S.

I have a spare battery in the bilge compartment at the companionway ladder that I am thinking of connecting as the start battery and use the other two and bank two or house batteries. could flood if the bilg is not watched and the automatic pump fails.

I have two group 27's and an 800 cranking amp starting battery installed in the same space as the originals. I threw out the original fiberglass battery box and built a new one to hold all three. Box has a taper in the aft portion so it will fit into the hull contour as it narrows aft. Thats where the smaller, starting battery sits.
