A-4 Temp Gauge Problem

My temp gauge doesn't read until I turn off the key. Here's what I've tried so far:

1) new gauge;
2) new sending unit;
3) new thermostat conversion kit from Moyer Marine;
4) tried bypassing wire from sending unit to gauge - same result.

The gauge reads below the extreme cold until I turn off the key. Then it jumps up to 120 - 130 degrees. All other gauges read OK.

Any ideas?

Hmmm

Thats a good one seems to me you have a short between your ignition and your gage somewhere.. Is it grounding out anywhere? I would look on your back admiral panel and make sure it is wired right.

Maybe you have the + and - reversed? Guess you will never over heat Harold
