35-II vs 1989 38

We have been thinking that a bit more room in the v-berth would be reason enough to move up. Went and checked out a very nice 38 only to find that v-berth dimensions are the same as in our 35-II. One might have thought that with half again the displacement and 5 more feet of waterline that there would have been a larger v-berth. Bummer.

I am 6'2" and have stretched out with room to spare, on an overnight delivery, on an E-38-200.
Aft berth was just as long.
My experience, FWIW.
