1986 E32-3 Water Intrusion, Structural Issues

I am evaluating an E 32-3 for possible purchase and there is evidence of water intrusion (down mast and into shallow bilges) which was allowed to accumulate on floor over winters. Aside from the cosmetic issues presented, should this lead to concerns about resultant structural weakness. (the keel bolts protrude into each of these shallow bilges). In general the E32-3 would be a good fit for my solo sailing journeys here on the Great Lakes. Any other observation on E32-3 issues would be welcome. The '86 32-3 drains rainwater from inside the mast onto the sole. There are several easy fixes to divert such water to the bilge, but it did tend to damage the floorboards if left unattended. Zero structural issues.
