inboard or outboard

    1969 Ericson 26 Inboard/Outboard?

    I'm considering a used E-26 but it has what seems to be a cutout in the transom where the outboard sits. It is a 1969 vintage. Is this standard or is this a "modification"? Thanks for any help! Chris
