Got a leak in the joint, has anyone repaired the hull/deck joint on an ER/39?

Hello all, From my reading of the owners manual it appears that the hull/deck joint on the 28+ is glassed and has no bolts. Is this the case? If so, how does the rub rail attach to the boat? Is its only purpose rubbing protection and not to cover the hull/deck joint screws/bolts? Finally, if...
