e25 skeg rudder?

I am seriously considering buying a 1982 E 25+. But it has a skeg rudder. The interior is sparse, to be kind. There is no wood except the mast support and trim. The sails are good, but replacement, so they are blank - no insignia nor number. Any advice on what to look for on this boat...
