My atomic 4 is dead. I really want to replace it with a outboard. I mainly day sail.... a few days on Catalina, that sort of sailing. My question, is a 7.5 hp too small for a E-27?

Just pulled off the forward hatch, main hatch and the hatch boards. Here they sit on my workbench. What next ??? I have 0 wood on my Mac so this is all new to me. Any advise before I start sanding ? Tim
