    Blge Pump Issues

I carry in my kit a block of wax. Go to home despot and get a few wax toilet seal rings. Store them as is or warm them up a little and pour into a tupperware container. That stuff will stick to anything and doesn't harden. It's great for sealing leaks around hard to reach spots and next to...

    bilge filth

Thanks. The gloves and sleeves didn't help me much. I think it was the steam that aerosolized the old diesel volatiles that got me. Between the glass fibers shredding the gloves, the vapor getting up into the sleeves of my suit, and combined with it being 120 degrees inside the boat... ugh...

    bilge filth

Ugh. The years of accumulated slime and diesel from the leaking tank have turned into a type of tar that just won't come off. I cut the sole out yesterday and got to work cutting out the iron mast step and bulkheads. I spent a couple hours in there with a steamer and shop vac making no real...

    E39 resurrection

It was the one listed at passion yachts. Hasn't floated in at least 3 years from what I can see. Looks like it was a live aboard then left unmaintained. The previous owner full of stars in his eyes put it on the hard to start a blister treatment about 3 and a half years ago and hadn't touched...

    E39 resurrection

I'm new here but I've been lurking for a few weeks already. I've already found a lot of valuable information and want to say thank you to everyone that puts up pictures and how-to's. My last sailboat was a MacGregor 19 powersailer and right now I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed but still managing...
