Got the idea! Thanks folks for all your insight into my thread. For now I am going to run the new halyard thru the port sheave. I thought it would be neat to have both port and stbd halyards - but for me to think that far ahead and choose one during a race would be a stretch.

Hi, I'm in process of getting ready to install a RayMarine X5 Autopilot on a friends 1987 E34. Nice boat! It has a DataMarine Wind Angle Gauge (LX3600 I think). My question is - Does anyone know if the DataMarine Wind Angle Gauge will send data to the RayMarine X5 AP? Thanks

I use Pettit SR 40 ablative. Put on 2 coats (2 gallons) every 3 years. Seems to work OK in Kingston. I get a local diver to clean every few months (6 max) too. I think I ordered from Defender but I will look into the price match idea with West Marine now.
