I’m thinking of changing from my two blade prop to a Campbell Sailer three blade, 12” x 7.5”. It’s on my 1983 30+ Universal model 18. Anybody done this?

Select Plastics I also sent mine to Select Plastics and it came back like new. I loved it. I also secured the hatch as Christian did.

I have hull 664 1984 30+. I have a standard two blade prop. I could sure use a little more power to windward or even a little more speed. Would changing to a three blade help me? Size? Suggestions?

Hard over On my wheel pilot, I hit the 1 and 10 degree buttons simultaneously and it goes 90 degrees to come about. No need to hit the 10 degrees 9 times. Yours doesn’t? BTW, I love your YouTube channel. I’m a subscriber.

Does anyone have a boneyard that might include an exhaust manifold for a model 18 Universal? No longer manufactured and all the other suppliers have nothing. I'm appealing to anyone who may have an engine they are parting out. I can get one special made but over a grand.

gaskets I did a valve job and now I am having hell finding the upper gasket set part no. 256837 and head shim part no. 301119. TOAD is helpful but backordered. I need a source for Model 18 Universal parts. Any suggestions?

Thanks Frank, is the Twin Disc 340MG you mention the same as the Technodrive 40M? Sound Marine says all I have to do is place shims under motor to raise 1/4". Did you replace the damper plate? The Universal manual shows part 300315 for damper plate and price is $750. Very high. Thanks,

My Universal model 18 (Ericson 30+) runs great in neutral with high revs (no tach) and no smoke and very smooth. When I put it in gear the maximum revs drop to about half and I get black smoke and it spits unburned diesel out of the exhaust. I suspect the trans is gone since it was run without...

I have ordered a new compass unit and am hoping I can use the same wiring to hook up. Should be here the end of this week and install this weekend. We will see!

My Autohelm ST4000 wheelpilot puts out incorrect compass headings. It hasn't been used in quite a while and I thought maybe the compass was stuck and might free up after some use but that has not happened. It does change readings but never correct. I have recalibrated but doesn't help. When...
