    E36C Mast Conduit?

On mine there is the center hole and rivet holding the conduit and 2 other holes with a wire passed through each hole and wrapped around the rivet. Three holes are only at every other spot. So 2 then 3 then 2 the center home is every other spot.

    E36C Mast Conduit?

Any idea about the pop rivets. Was a wire simply passed around the conduit and wrapped around the pop rivets. I keep doing it every 3 years as it never holds, I’ve just solid, stranded, galvanized and SS. Got to do it again this year, looking for a better fix.

    Leak

Dripless It can only be leaking from a loose or split bellows hose at either end, or the carbon surface or SS surface is cracked. The hose off the top is to ensure air is not trapped in the bellows as water is needed to cool the mating surfaces while turning. There is also a preloaded...

    36C Mast step

Nice clean install,... I have knowledge of a 2nd 36c that is struggling with what to do with this iron I beam. He may be doing his before I do ours. Scheduled to be in the work yard by October.

    36C Mast step

I just found out it's not going to be G10 stuff, to build up a 6 inch piece is going to be a grand,...I like the Stainless Steel or Aluminum custom so far.

    36C Mast step

Been away for a while,..good to see some familiar names to my aide. Sure don't put the aluminium mast in the bilge, lets use steel, LOL. The bilge with the deep sump is rarely wet. Who knows why. Anyway I was thinking of building something up from the keel too, what is the other material you...

    36C Mast step

Has anybody replaced the Mast step on the 36C, or others if the same. We have a steel I beam that the mast sets on, about 6 inch tall that must be set on top of the keel and then glassed in. Why did they use steel, was the mast rig too short by 6 inches,... Thanks in advance Jon Libby :egrin:

    Leaking hot water heater question

I think this idea is great, I don't have to change much and I can eliminate my worry of the heat exchanger. Thanks all I'll let post updates as to the by pass at the water heater.. :egrin:

    Leaking hot water heater question

Stu, I have that small by pass hose and thought of doing that,...but that would leave me with no expansion tank for the coolant without moving it from the locker,...which is going to be the hard part. I don't believe I could find room in the small engine room for it

    Leaking hot water heater question

Well it's been a while since I've posted or needed anything about our boat. For all of the re-fit and work we've done I haven't had any real issues till now. So I present my issue to some of the greatest minds out there. The hot water heater sprung a leak in the fresh water side of it's...

    Installing ground/bond wires

Bonding for lighting As an electrical contractor for many years I'd come into contact at one point with an old timer that was installing a lighting rod system on a house we were wiring and ask the questions why? He explained it in a way that put it across simply, and I never forgot. As the...

    Solar panels

We've been thinking the same thing, what do we need. We are liking the "Solar stik". It answers a lot of problems for other things too. A bit pricey but maybe not when you think of the savings in work and other items needed for radar, and hoist. I like the fact that you can adjust the panels and...

    mast conduit

Done, The conduit with wire in it had broken loose in several places. the pop rivets where about 6 ft apart, It took a couple of tries but was quite easy. I rolled the mast around on saw horses to put the conduit where I needed it. The easiest was with the conduit hanging down and the rivet...
