    1984 E28+ in Bellingham, WA

Hi Everybody, You all know the old saying about the two happiest days in a boat owners life… From my perspective that is not true. My wife and I were looking forward to winding down our careers and happily spending time enjoying the San Juan and Gulf islands on our E28+. Unfortunately my...

    Tiller pull to port

28+ Hi Dave, The boat is designed to have the engine slightly offset. Attempting to align the engine with the centerline of the boat would involve major modifications and glass work to move the shaft log. Having the shaft offset does allow the shaft to be removed without dropping the...

    Tiller pull to port

E28+ Hi Dave, We have a 1984 E28+. The pull you experience while motoring is because the engine is slightly offset from the centerline of the boat. The prop shaft is a couple of inches to the port from the center. Under sail you will never notice a thing. The starboard list is also an...

    82 mph wind in Bellingham

http://www.bellinghamherald.com/255/story/41352.html http://www.bellcold.com/bhambaycam.html No damage for us and it appeared the same for most boats other than a few headsails that were not furled tight enough and ended up shredded. Dan and Julie E28+ Jewel

28+ projects for new owner-fuel tank first

E28+ Fuel Tank I have taken the fuel tank out of our 1984 E28+ twice. The access is easy through the quarterberth and other than removing the fill hose, fuel lines, etc. there was no problem. No disassembly of any boat structure was required. Dan and Julie Jewel E28+ :egrin:

    Batten down the hatches...

:egrin: Bellingham Cold Storage has a web cam with corresponding weather data. They recorded a 69 mph gust with lots more in the mid-60's. No damage for us other than getting a little damp while trying to tie our finger pier onto the main dock so it wouldn't break...
