    Drought stricken E29 whats best!

Another Idea How bout buying a couple of come alongs and putting straps under the bow and aft, and then securing to the dock. Depending upon how strong your dock is (and whether you have a full or half slip) I would keep it upright till the water comes back.

    Droopy Boom and E29 Tall

In this months Good Ol Boat--there was an article comparing a E35 with a Mistral 33 and Seafarer 34. In the article it makes reference to the E35 having a "droopy boom" by design, but that it was soon changed. There is both the comment in the text of that article, but it also shows the side...

    Stumped - Water in bilge

Bilge Water One more theory--albeit only a slight one. I had overloaded the v-berth of my boat while at the dock, and over time some of the water seepage into the Solon over time made its way to the hull under the bow (near my holding tank). Then when I either sailed or motored, that water...

    E29 Atomic 4 Standpipe/Muffler Replacement

Hi all, I have a 1977 E-29 with a Standpipe/Water Muffler that appears to be rusting out at the bottom. Has anyone replaced one? Did you try to find a OEM replacement or have one custom built? Moyer Marine sells a pure stainless steel one for $460 that will probably outlast the boat. I hate...

    e29 water tank repair

E29 Fresh Water Tank Hi Simon, I had a similar issue with my 1977 E29 a couple of years ago--and after contacting the manufacturer and providing them with the exact model number--they did not still have the molds. Thus to make one would have been a custom job and many hundreds of dollars...

    E29 Sliding Hatch Wanted

I'm looking to buy an E-29 Main Sliding Hatch, regardless of condition or shape. I have a woodworking friend that will make me a new one--but wants a template to use as a guide. I hate to lug mine off and on the boat, probably repeatedly, as this woodworker is good, but anything but fast. I'm...

    Anchor Chain

Jump Start Battery Hi all, While I do have two batteries in my house bank, I am an old boy scout, and also have one of those emergency "jump start" batteries on board. I guess its a bit of insurance that regardless of my power usage, I have a reserve. You can pick one up for about $70.

Photos of privacy, screen, v-birth, etc.

Bifold door Hi Adam, Here are a couple of file pics of the privacy door that separates the V berth from the salon on my 1977 E29. It is a bi-fold and hooks at the top. It has a full length piano hinge. I have another shot that shows it tucked away on the starboard side of the V berth. Hope...

    E 27 cradle

E29 Trailer Hi Buckles, Here is my E-29 on a custom trailer built by LoadMaster in Sandusky OH ($6500) While I don't know the exact dimensions, I could measure it this weekend. I'm hoping to relaunch it this weekend. Are you only interested in the draft? Beam is just over 9 ft. (9 ft 3 in...

    E 29 Stuffing Box Packing

Anyone know what size of packing that is inside the Atomic 4 powered stuffing box? My prop shaft is 3/4 inch. I see that West Marine has a wide variety of sizes of teflon packing. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Used Pedestal Guard Wanted

Cockpit Mantle Todd, I read with interest your desire to mount your GPS and VHF radio at or near your pedestal--Like you, I too wanted a couple refreshment holders and a stand for my Garmin depth and GPS combo unit. So over the winter I fashioned a "mantle" (as in fireplace mantle) out of...
