    E29 cockpit drainage

anything weird about the starboard scupper? just came from the boat - yes, the closed right scupper overflows the sink. Did not have much time to play with the starboard scupper.

    E29 cockpit drainage

Can you please elaborate on the E29 cockpit drainage system - how it works, how to maintain, which valve to open/close and when, what is standard and what's custom changes, experience ... In those E29 pdf manuals I downloaded there is not much about it. A week ago I had a mechanic working on...

    A-4 transmission cable

I installed my extra cable Chris I had an extra cable and it happened to be in very good condition. So I swapped my cable with that extra one. I bought my E-29 with a dead A-4 and a small outboard. After reading this forum and sailnet.com I decided to get a "new" Atomic 4 since a heavy boat...

thanks for your help fixed the cable. You all are very supportive!

    A-4 transmission cable

what's WD-40? and the second stupid question - if I remove the cable, can the first mate switch gear manually (maybe with winch or players)? Ultimately the whole purpose of transmission cable is to move that handle on A-4.

Underwater hull cleanning and prop replacement

right, it's LWL not LOA! Thanks, you saved me $40. E-29 has 22' LWL so I have to pay for 7' less. :)

    A-4 transmission cable

My transmission cable is kinda tight and you have to push / pull with both hands to switch gear. My mechanic told me that it's one heckuva job to change the cable. Any suggestions how to make it less tight? I have an extra transmission cable but it's not from E-29. Are A-4 cables the same or...

Underwater hull cleanning and prop replacement

I came across a scuba diving company that offers underwater hull/prop shaft cleaning. It's affordable ($5.5 per foot) and I am inclining to do it (my E29 was in the water this winter and I think the winter before since the PO did not care much about her). Is it worth doing or just waste of...

Any of you on Facebook, Twitter?

it's really time consuming to check multiple sites daily and stay connected with people. I suggest an Ericson page on Facebook and follow each other on Twitter and make instructions to join sticky. What do you think?

Is a 9 feet oar long enough for sculling E29?

thanks for replies. You are always very helpful as usual. BTW, folks at oarclub have good and very informative forum. PS Told my wife yesterday about sculling. She likes it a lot. Last spring we traveled to Italy (of course, been in Venice) for our wedding anniversary. Scull, honey, and make...

Is a 9 feet oar long enough for sculling E29?

so you're saying winterizing is easy... I can sail in/out to my slip without problems. Well, it's not "sail in" per se. I can sail close enough to one of my poles, get a rope with my telescopic hook and pull my boat into the slip -- this is what I usually do. This tricky place on the chart...

Is a 9 feet oar long enough for sculling E29?

I doubt about Minnkota... Minnkota. I run the wizard on the www.minnkotamotors.com. The wizard does not offer any motors for "deep V fiberglass" boats. I have wheel, shore power and o/b mount (installed by PO). I know that you speak from your experience and I know guy who uses minn kota on his...

Is a 9 feet oar long enough for sculling E29?

I am at a doc in a small 5 slip private marina. It's on Whitehall creek, close to Whitehall Bay just north of Annapolis. The creek is not crowded with low traffic. I always used my o/b to get to the channel on the creek but I think I can scull to the channel easily. The different question is...
