E31 Independence Staysail Sheet Lead
E31 Staysail Traveller This is my current setup. Works well, but the equipment is old and needs upgrading. This is not self-tacking. Three lines run aft to the cockpit. One pulls the sail out of the furler, the other two move the traveller port and starboard.- Flyertim

Soliciting suggestions for adding a Spinnaker Halyard
Masthead Bail My E31 has a Lefiell masthead that I have recently rebuilt. In the process I put the halyards inside the mast. This frees up two of the sheaves...one foreward, one aft. Boat Yard recommendation for Anacortes, WA
Anacortes Boat Yard My E31I is in dry storage at Marine Servicenter in Anacortes. They did a nice job setting the boat up for the winter and have been excellent to deal with.:)- Flyertim

Yanmar Mixing Elbow Corrosion
Threaded Close Nipple There issue with Yanmar parts is that the aluminum mixing elbow has left hand threads. :mad:- Flyertim

Yanmar Mixing Elbow Corrosion
Corrosion of the mixing elbow stainless steel close nipple cause a failure of the whole exhaust. While stainless steel offers some resistance to the exhaust corrosion, it is weak mechanically and failed at this point. It was covered in fiberglass insulation and was missed during the survey...- Flyertim

I purchased an Ericson 31 Independence in early August in Anacortes, WA and am preparing to take her home to Sitka, Alaska in a week or so. Ericson Cruising 31 on Seattle craigs list
Cape Bay 31 What do you think the price of a Cape Bay 31 should be over an Ericson 31? I don't see the value for the one listed in Seattle. Looks like 30% premium over an Independence. Is the Cape Bay really build that much better than an Ericson 31 Independence?- Flyertim
