Thanks for the advice. I had the same thoughts about using a similar diameter piece and tapping it through the track. Fortunately, the mast is still straight.

Here is the trailer that my E25 came on. I am not sure if this is the original trailer but it is as old as the boat. I plan on installing a support up fwd for the mast for transport and stepping.

I am looking at purchasing a '74 E25. The owner has indicated that the bulkhead around the chain plates has received water penetration. He has re-enforced the bulkhead. Two questions: Is this chain plate/bulkhead connection structural? If so, does this fix look solid?
