Storage in Quarter Berth

Like most sailors we mainly use the quarter berth in our 35-3 for storage. But piling duffel bags, cockpit cushions, etc. in there is messy and inefficient. Has anyone developed ideas for modifications to make better use of this space for storage? I don't want to permanently loose the ability to use this as a bed but in the years we've owned this boat no one has ever slept there. Thanks in advance!

Somewhere I read about making a removable back rest complete with matching cushion. I am finishing making a second cockpit hatch cover. I removed the starboard hatch and made a rubber mold of it. Still need to make seat mold so the both look the same. Picts as get closer.
